Dry Run ("Dry Run," "we," "us") is an iOS app for running an alcohol-free challenge. This policy explains what information the app handles, where it goes, and the choices you have. The short version: almost everything stays on your phone, the social features are opt-in, and we don't run ads, don't use tracking, and don't sell data.
The core of Dry Run works entirely on your iPhone. The following is stored locally (and in your device's app group storage so your widgets can read it) and is not sent to us:
Deleting the app deletes this data.
Two features share limited information with other users through Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) public database. Both are opt-in — nothing is shared unless you join them.
This data is stored in Apple's CloudKit, subject to Apple's privacy practices. We do not operate our own servers and cannot see your iCloud account details.
Subscriptions are processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat, our subscription infrastructure provider. RevenueCat receives transaction information from Apple (such as purchase and renewal events and an anonymous app user ID) to determine your subscription status. We never see or store your payment card details — Apple handles all payment processing.
Daily reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Crew check-in notifications are delivered through Apple's push notification service via CloudKit. Both require your permission and can be turned off in the app or in iOS Settings.
Dry Run is not directed at children and is intended for adults of legal drinking age. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 17.
Dry Run shows general wellness information about alcohol-free time. It is not medical advice, and the app does not collect health data from HealthKit or any medical source.
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above. Material changes will be called out in the app.
